Susie (Birch) Basham was born and raised in Geneva, Illinois. After graduating from Geneva High School, she continued her education at Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. She received her Bachelors degree from the liberal arts department, with he major in foreign languages including French, Spanish, and Russian. Susie's first home was in Geneva and since has moved to St. Charles, where she lives with her husband and son.

Susie's personal hobbies include reading, walking, gardening and traveling. She owns lake-side property in Eastern Ontario, Canada where she and her family vacation. The property has been in Susie's family since the early 1920's and has become her son's favorite place to vacation as it was hers when she was a child. As a child, Susie was able to spend 6 weeks in Canada during the summer with her parents, Marilyn & Al Birch, previous owner of Country Gas in Wasco. It is still her favorite place to vacation in the summer.

Susie began selling her real estate career with Century 21 Allen in Geneva. Susie was sales manager for Hemphill Builders at their Winfield Square Town Home Development during the early 80's. While there, Susie was the top sales associate for the company for 2 years. Once the development was sold out, Susie decided to settle down for a while and raise her son. However, her love for real estate continued and she once again decided to go back into the field that she excels at, therefore her association with Kettley Realtors.
